Griffith College Offer Fee Discounts for Friends of Current Students

A new initiative is being put in place in Dublin’s Griffith College in order to help students save money on their college fees.

The ‘refer a friend offer’ gives an already enrolled student a discount of €250 if they sign up a friend.

All courses are subject to tuition fees, ranging from €4,000 to €5,950 for European students living in Ireland. An additional registration fee of €250 is also required.

The friend must mention the name of the registered student in their application. Once they have paid their full fees, or set up an instalment plan, the registered student will receive their discount.

The offer will be put in place for the September intake. Its main objective is to reward already existing students rather than trying to attract new students. A lack of applicants to the college was not a factor in bringing about this initiative. According to Griffith College Dublin’s (GCD) administration, the admissions office has had to open late due to the amount of applicants they are receiving.

GCD administration also aims to increase awareness of the college through this initiative. They hope that students who have had a good experience with the admissions process will spread the word and help build the reputation of the college.

The idea was developed by the marketing department of Griffith College Dublin. The administration has no awareness of any other colleges running a similar initiative. However, the offer is only available for the Dublin branch.

This is not the only financial support scheme that is offered by Griffith College. Students in many courses of two years or more are also able to avail of a discount of up to 20 per cent tax relief on their fees. Griffith College is an independent college with campuses in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
