Ciaran O’ Connor is a final year communications student and is running for Vice President for Education. He is also a class rep and a student ambassador.
Ciaran is aware of the financial pressures facing students and the problems with SUSI.

While there is little that can actually be done about SUSI Ciaran says that action can be taken.

Along with putting pressure on SUSI Ciaran also wants to make students aware of the options they have.

He has been heavily involved in society life and thinks that students should get more recognition for their contribution to student life. He praises the benefits of Uaneen – an optional module which allows final year students to put extra curricular work towards their degree.

He believes that Uaneen is worth it even as a non-contributory module.

He aims to create greater awareness and encourage as many students to take it up as possible.
