Kodaline, Le Galaxie, Rubywork Sessions and more will appear at a newly announced New Year’s festival which will take place over three days in Dublin. The Festival, or NYF, will run from 30th December until 1st January.

Michael Fassbender is reportedly in talks to take over the role of Steve Jobs in Aaron Sorkin’s forthcoming biopic of the Apple co-founder. Christian Bale and Leonardo Di Caprio have already dropped out of filming after deciding that the role was not suitable.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was arrested on suspicion of hiring a hitman to murder two people. The charges have since been dropped but charges for drugs and threatening to kill remain.

The title of of the newest Star Wars film has been announced. Stars Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens will be released in 2015.
