MPS is turning 40: Are you ready to celebrate?!

The MPS 40th Anniversary Ball is taking place this Friday and members are in for a treat of red, black and gold!

All society members are on the guest list, (though tickets are already going fast), so be sure to get your seven quid in before the date or you’ll miss out!

Alumni, faculty and members of the media industry will also be dancing the night away at The Bohemian Pub in Phibsborough. Events managers Shelby Brennan and Holly O’Neill have worked tirelessly to create the most fabulous ball. Hours have been spent getting musical guests, touring venues and brainstorming behind the scenes.

“From picking the smallest of decorations to the location itself, we have been hands-on making sure this ball is the best it can be”, Shelby told me.

The event is as fancy as our ‘Best Society’ trophy, so get out the ballgowns and the bow ties! But remember, just like the Met Gala, we have a theme – ‘Red Jubilee’. So we want everyone in black, red and gold.

A big sit-down meal will be provided and the drinks will flow all through the reception (not for free though, come on lads – ok maybe just one)! When you’re not dancing on tables, there will be some special MPS commemorative bits & bobs around the place you will not want to miss.

Some familiar faces will be present on the night. Past Chairperson Sarah O’Tuama let me in on how excited she is to make her return!

“MPS turning 40 this year is such a monumental occasion and one that should be celebrated, and there is no one better at celebrating than Sadhbh O’Grady”, praising her fabulous predecessor.

All of us at MPS are more than excited to welcome you this Friday! Get your tickets at the link below: https://dcustudentlife.native.fm/event/mps-40th-birthday-celebration/248886
