Déjà Vu
Located near the beach on Old Street in Malahide is Parisian style Déjà Vu. The Pain Perdu, which is a French toast made with sweet brioche, served with bacon and maple syrup is the most amazing thing on the menu. The Chicken Caesar Salad is one of the best in Dublin (the crispy cured ham is mouth-watering). Located on Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 is Sophie’s. Brunch is served here on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and is perfect for getting all of the girls together! The stand out on the menu is the Buttermilk/Blueberry Pancake Stack and there is tons of options for toppings like Orange Butter and Maple Syrup, Caramelised Banana, Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream or Berries and Fresh Cream. The other stand out option is the Poached Eggs on Toasted Buttered Muffins with a choice of Crispy Bacon or Spinach and Smoked Salmon. The coffee and tea is supplied by Clement and Pekoe. Price €€€
Bang Bang
Located in the heart of Phibsborough on North Leinster Street just off the Phibsborough road is Bang Bang, which is run by a brother and sister. Bang Bang was named after the famous Dublin street character also known as Thomas Dudley. Bang Bang has a very relaxed vibe and stocks plenty of local produce. There is chocolate from Chez Emily, Dublin Honey, Genovese Pesto handmade in Stoneybatter to name a few. There are also vintage clothes to browse through.
The legendary Brunch Burger is served daily, which is a brioche bun with bacon, homemade relish, a fried egg and leaves. There is also an option to add black pudding, avocado and sausage. San Lorenzo’s
Located on South Great George’s Street with the tagline ‘Brunch of Champions’. San Lorenzo’s has a modern Italian, New York style. Brunch is served from 10am every weekend. The San Lorenzo brunch tacos are to die for! They are jerk chicken with avocado salsa, fried chorizo, red pepper mayo, iceberg lettuce, coriander and chilli and lime. For a sweet option, there is the famous coco pop crunchy French toast with salt caramelized bananas, peanut butter, mascarpone whipped cream and Belgian chocolate sauce. Price €€€
Meet Me In The Morning
Located on Pleasant Street with an imaginative menu is Meet Me In The Morning. For a healthy option try the eggs and greens, which is kale, leek, garlic yoghurt, paprika oil, parsley, two poached eggs on rustic loaf. The Big Brunch Hash is so tasty and consist of potato, pumpkin, kale, black pudding, a poached egg, beet whipped sour cream and pickles on a rustic loaf. The White Moose Café
Located a minute away from the new Phibsborough Luas stop is The White Moose Café, winner of the 98FM Best of Dublin Best Breakfast. The Silver Dollar Pancakes are fluffy just the way you want your pancakes to be and are served with a choice of maple flavoured golden syrup, berry coulis and mascarpone, caramelised bananas and nutella or crispy bacon and maple flavoured golden syrup.
