LEOPARDSTOWN and the Curragh announced on Friday, May 4th that students will be given free entry to the Longines Irish Champions Weekend on both racecourses, which will take place on September 10th and 11th.

The announcement comes as a result of the racecourses’ continued partnership with Asian racing and breeding organisation Godolphin.

200 students will also be given a private tour of Kildangan Stud and private hospitality at the races. Two of the 200 selected students will win the ‘special prize’ of a trip to Dubai.

“The Godolphin student initiative introduced on Longines Irish Champions Weekend last year was a huge success and I welcome Godolphin’s continuation of this sponsorship,” said Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Horse Racing Ireland.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for horse racing fans to have an exclusive tour of Kildangan Stud before enjoying two of the best days’ racing in the calendar. More importantly, with Godolphin’s support, this kind of initiative helps the growth and long term future of our industry while helping to attract a new generation of fans to horse racing.”

Students looking to attend the events should register at www.irishchampionsweekend.ie before August 27th.
