Adele is returning to the music scene for the first time since 2015, with millions of worldwide fans excited for new music from the talented singer-songwriter. The award-winning singer is days away from releasing a new album titled 30, which will be released on October 15th.

The numerical name follows the singer’s previous trend of naming her albums after the milestone ages she hit while making them such as 19, 21 and 25.

The announcement of a long-awaited new album from Adele comes after London, Tokyo, New York and various other cities were hosts to mysterious billboards and projections of the number 30.

Speaking to Vogue magazine for a recent feature article, Adele outlined how her new music became a medium for her to answer big questions about her life, her break-up and even her son, Angelo.

The singer also revealed that unlike her previous works, she held herself accountable while writing her newest album. “I realized that I was the problem,” she told Vogue. “Cause all the other albums are like, you did this! You did that! Fuck you! Why can’t you arrive for me? Then I was like: Oh, shit, I’m the running theme, actually. Maybe it’s me!” Adele described during the interview to the magazine that the album is about “self-destruction” but also “self-reflection and then sort of self-redemption.”

Having previously won 15 Grammy Awards, nine BRIT awards and an Oscar for Best Original Song for her James Bond theme song Skyfall, Adele is sure to impress critics and fans alike with her new work.

Adele previously said her fourth album would be released in 2020 but this was pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

While Adele is known for disappearing from the public eye for extended periods of time, this re-emergence seems to be different. Following multiple world tours, relationship drama and a physical and mental change, Adele seems to have not lost her iconic voice, as heard in the clip of her new song titled Easy On Me. The song was released last Thursday, and has listeners prepared for more of Adele’s powerful vocal performances.
