In an article published by The College View on Friday February 26th 2021 we published certain claims about NUI Galway student Simeon Burke. We published a claim that Mr Burke had engaged in harassment. This claim is false. We also published a claim that Mr Burke and his supporters are homophobes and right-wing extremists. This claim is also false. We acknowledge that the publication of these claims constituted a serious attack on Mr Burke’s character. We apologise unreservedly to Mr Burke.
